- Easter is a very important spring holiday in Great Britain. It celebrates new life and hope. Many people go to church, spend time with their families, and enjoy special traditions.
On Easter Sunday, many families eat a big meal together. They often have roast lamb, vegetables, and a sweet dessert. People also give each other Easter eggs. These eggs are usually made of chocolate.
Children sometimes take part in Easter egg hunts. Parents or teachers hide chocolate eggs in the garden or in a park. The children run around and try to find as many eggs as they can. It is a fun game and everyone laughs a lot.
Another tradition is egg rolling. People roll hard-boiled eggs down a hill. The egg that rolls the farthest is the winner. This tradition is very old and people still enjoy it today.
